ASTRO to honor David Larson and William McBride with prestigious Gold Medal award Will receive awards at Society’s 52nd Annual Conference in San DiegoDavid Larson, M.D., Ph naltrexone hcl .D., FASTRO, and William McBride, D.Sc., Ph.D., have already been chosen to receive the American Society for Radiation Oncology’s most prestigious award, the Gold Medal. They’ll be presented with this honor at the Awards Ceremony during ASTRO’s 52nd Annual Meeting, october 31 to November 4 occurring, 2010, in NORTH PARK. The Gold Medal is usually bestowed on revered people who have made outstanding contributions to the field of radiation oncology, including research, clinical care, service and teaching. Recipients are drawn from any of the scientific disciplines represented by the people of the Society.
A*STAR’s ETC, Agilent introduce drug screening platform Agilent Technologies Inc. and A*STAR’s Experimental Therapeutics Centre today announced the start of a medication screening platform within ETC’s brand-new Singapore Screening Centre. This partnership shall give a full spectral range of state-of-the-art automation technology to biomedical researchers, enabling highly efficient drug screening in a single location. The Singapore Screening Centre conducts high-throughput screening to recognize potential drug candidates against disease, utilizing a library of over 300,000 chemical substances.
